My love for cocker spaniels started at a very young age, when I adopted my very fist golden English cocker spaniel from our local rescue centre. It was love at first sight, and after that, I knew I would never own another breed of dog. After getting married in 2005, I was lucky enough that my husband shared my love and dreams for this magnificent type of dog, and we acquired our first KUSA registered dog. Since then, our love and passion for the breed has grown exponentially to where we are today.
In 2007, we decided to focus on specific bloodlines and conformational type, and turned our attention to the overseas market for an import prospect. We were lucky enough to come into contact with Karin Staaf from the Backhills kennels in Sweden. After a lot of thought, we imported our first stud dog, namely Ch Backhills Rare Design of Gelani, with world-renowned bloodlines in his pedigree. Our stud grew from strength to strength and today we are the proud owners of two imported dogs, four South-African champions and three lovely up-and-coming future stars at our kennel.
Our aim is to breed top quality cocker spaniels according to strict KUSA standards, as well as having excellent temperaments. Our dogs are sound in body and mind, has a very friendly disposition with outgoing personalities. They make great family pets and are very adaptable to individual circumstances. Through selective breeding, we sometimes have show quality puppies available to approved homes
